A beautifully compact oak chest of drawers. This has some classic deco details which have been highlighted to make the most of the style.
This was stripped cleaned, sanded, and cleaned again to ensure a clean surface to start painting.
I chose a navy by General Finishes. This is a milk paint that is incredibly hardwearing. This comes with a built in top coat but I always use another 2 coats of varnish to ensure its hardwearing as it possibly can be. I then added the art deco gold detailing with wax. It was then buffed out to give a subtle sheen.
All the handles were cleaned and prepped before adding the wax and buffing out.
It is a solid small chest of drawers with all drawers having dovetail joints.
