Tall and narrow mahogany And Brass Military Campaign Chest With Brass Scoop Handles.
There are seven drawers (all dovetail jointed) with sunken military brass handles. It also has brass corner fittings that are typical of campaign-style furniture. It sits on bracket fit.
It's in excellent condition and is a good solid, heavy piece of furniture.
All of the hardware was removed and then the chest was cleaned, sanded, and cleaned again.
It was then painted with Cornish Milk paint in Siren, which is a beautiful colour inspired by old folk tales of mermaids caught off the Cornish shores and of Legends of fishermen being seduced by mermaids song to their deaths at sea. Siren's have been written about throughout time and this shade will be sure to lure you in with its deep indigo green tones. It is very hard to capture the colour on camera as it changes colour depending on light.
Finally, two coats of Polyvine varnish were added for added protection.

This is a beautiful piece which is in good condition but, as with all pre-loved furniture, it may show the odd sign of its age.
